Lake City golf tourney, Thurs. July 22

By JOELLEN "JO" McNEAL

How many years the Lake City Chamber of Commerce has put on its annual golf tournament, no one seems to remember, however, we all look forward to this fun event, which will be held on Thursday, July 22.

This year, we are excited to announce a new location for the tournament: Jackson Park Golf Course (1000 NE 135th St.), right in our own backyard.

The first tee-time is set for 10:45 a.m. and will be four-person scrambles. Prizes will be awarded for men's and ladies' long drives; a hole-in-one car will be provided by Pierre Auto Centers.

Applications for the Lake City Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament are available at the chamber office. The cost to enter is $70 per golfer. You do not need to have a team of four we can put you with some fun-loving people for a great time.

Even if you do not golf, you can still be part of the fun. Lunch will be served around 4 p.m., $15 per person. The menu includes a choice of chicken or hamburger, various salads, and side dishes. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the luncheon for those who do not golf and just want to join the chamber golfers for some fun and laughs.

You must RSVP to attend by calling the chamber office at 363-3287.
