Wallingford design meeting

The Department of Planning and Development's Design Review Board will present its recommendations on a proposed mixed-use building at 2205 N 45th St. at a meeting on Monday, May 3 at 8 p.m. at the University Heights Center, 5031 University Way NE, room 108. The site is located on the southeast corner of North 45th Street and Bagley Avenue North and the proposed structure would contain 43 apartments, retail space, and parking for 66 vehicles. DNS for Ballard Eagles

A declaration of non-significance (no environmental impact statement required) has been issued by the Department of Community Development on a proposed six-story building at 5600 24th Ave. NW. The project will include 6,200 square feet of private club (Ballard Eagles), 5,500 square feet of retail space, a 2,500 square foot ground-floor restaurant, and 90 apartment units. Fremont design meeting

An early design guidance meeting to distribute information and take comments on the design for a proposed four-story mixed-use building at 600 N 36th St. will be held on Monday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the University Heights Center, 5031 University Way NE, room 108. Ballard project expands

A revised Director of the Department of Community Development's decision has been issued on a project at 2402 NW 65th Street. In addition to the previously-proposed four-story building with 2,309 square feet of retail space and 34 apartment units, an additional eight separate buildings containing 25 townhomes and eight apartments are proposed. Hotel to become offices

A change of use from hotel to office/apartments has been proposed for an existing building at 400 NE 45th St. (University Plaza Hotel). The building will be converted to 25,615 square feet of customer service office space, 382 square feet of retail and 84 apartment units. Garage parking for 109 vehicles will be provided. Magnuson Park boat center

A declaration of non-significance (no environmental impact statement required) and a shoreline substantial development permit have been issued by the City on a proposal for future improvements to the Magnuson Park Boating Center, 7400 Sand Point Way NE. The project will add four new floating docks, three new boat ramps and 605 feet of beach area. The project includes the removal of an existing bulkhead, several existing buildings, and finger piers and the grading of 15,355 cubic yards of material. Rick's wants more parking

A master use permit to establish accessory parking for an adjacent non-residential use (Rick's nightclub) has been filed at 11310 Lake City Way NE. Garage becomes medical building

A change of use from parking garage to medical service building (Wallingford Orthopedic Center) has been proposed for an existing building at 2409 N 45th St. The project includes parking for 34 vehicles to be provided in the existing structure. Medical offices near Northgate

A three-story, 69,000-square-foot medical office building has been proposed at 11011 Meridian Ave. N. The project includes below-grade parking for 277 vehicles and the demolition of a 10,000 square foot restaurant on the site (Barnaby's). Ravenna mixed-use proposal

A three-story building with 5,160 square feet of retail, 3,840 square feet of restaurant, and 19,800 square feet of administrative office space has been proposed at 5001 25th Ave. NE. Residential/commercial proposal

Monorail bridge proposed

A 30 foot wide, 2,432 foot long linear monorail transit guideway and bridge structure to cross the Ship Canal waterway has been proposed at 4501 Shilshole Ave. NW. The space will be located 50 feet west of the existing Ballard Bridge at heights between 135 feet and 150 feet above the ordinary high water mark.
