Rick's parking appealed
An appeal hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 6 at 9 a.m. on the Department of Planning and Development's approval of future construction of 23 parking spaces at Rick's night club, 11332 Lake City Way NE. Carter Motors expansion
An application has been filed for a two-story addition to an existing building (Carter Motors) at a 5202 Leary Way NW. The expanded building will contain 30,800 square feet of space. Parking for 12 vehicle will be provided on site. For more information, call land use planner Paul Janos at 233-7195.
Magnuson light pole permits
The City of Seattle has filed an application to allow the installation of light poles in Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way NE. The 78 poles will range in height from 65 feet to 85 feet. For more information, call land use planner Lucas DeHerrera at 615-0724.
Broadview short subdivision
An application has been filed to divide one parcel into eight unit lots at 13435 Greenwood Ave. N. An application to construct townhouses on the site has been approved under project #2306113. For more information, call land use planner Tamara Garrett at 684-0976.
Church sign approved
The DPD has approved the installation of two double-faced, changing-image signs at Calvary Temple, 6801 Roosevelt Way NE. One sign will be installed on Roosevelt Way, the other on 8th Avenue Northeast. While the application does not comply with city code requirements, it has been approved based on a state Supreme Court decision that cities may not apply land use regulations to church projects in the same manner it regulates other properties. Laurelhurst cell antennas
T-Mobile has proposed the future installation of three panel antennas atop a 100-foot City Light pole at 2249 NE 46th St. A 100-square-foot electrical equipment cabinet pad will be located in the storage area of an adjacent apartment building. Northgate cellular facility
An administrative conditional use permit to allow a minor communications utility in a midrise zone has been approved at 11045 8th Ave. NE. The Cingular Wireless proposal would add six panel antennas to the roof of an existing apartment building. Fremont short subdivision

Detached ADU proposal
The Seattle City Council will soon review a proposal to allow detached accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in single-family zones. An ADU, or mother-in-law apartment, is a separate dwelling unit attached to (or enclosed inside) a single-family home. This proposal would allow detached ADUs to be constructed throughout the city. Aurora townhouses approved
The DPD has granted an administrative conditional use and a variance to allow the construction of four, two-unit townhouses at 1125 N 94th St. Existing structures on the site will be demolished. The conditional use permit allows the construction of a single-purpose residential building on a commercially-zoned site; the variance is to allow less than the required floor-to-ceiling height in a commercial zone. The DPD has approved each of four separate applications to subdivide one parcel into four unit lots at 8503, 8509, 8515, and 8521 Interlake Ave. N.
