To be honored are: · Greg Lewis, a standout running back who went on to play for the Washington Huskies, where he was the 1990 Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year, and in the National Football League. In 1998, he was ranked fifth on a list of the state's top ten high school running backs of all time by a Seattle Times panel · Jay Inslee, an incumbent member of the US House of Representatives, who also served in the state Legislature and ran for governor of Washington. He's part of an elite group of legislators to have represented two different districts in Congress. · David Horsey, who recently became the first editorial cartoonist in 18 years to win multiple Pulitzer Prizes (for the years 1998 and 2002), print journalism's highest honor. A Seattle Post-Intelligencer cartoonist since 1979, he was also honored by the National Press Foundation with its 1998 Berryman Award for Cartoonist of the Year and received the 1999 Susan Hutchison Bosch Award from the Society of Professional Journalists, Western Washington Chapter. The opening of the new library and science wing will be marked with an 11:30 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by tours of the new facilities. A free barbecue will be held at 12:30 p.m. The final event of the day is a football game matching the Ingraham Rams against the Tyee Totems at Ingraham's sports complex. Past IHS letter winners will be honored at halftime. The cost for the game is $6/$4 for students with activity card. All Ingraham students, alumni and current and former members of the faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. The event, which is hosted by the Ingraham High School Foundation, is also open to the general public. Ingraham is located at 1819 N 135th St.
