Meet Chief Gil!

Seattle Police Chief Gil Kirlikowski will be speaking at a multi-Chamber luncheon on Thursday, July 17, at noon at the Best Western University Tower Hotel at 4507 NE Brooklyn Avenue. The event is hosted by the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce. All are welcome to attend.

It has been nearly three years since Chief Gil Kerlikowske was appointed as Seattle's Chief of Police on August 14, 2000, in the wake of the WTO (World Trade Organization) protests. During this time he has worked diligently to train officers to be prepared in every imaginable situation, including non-lethal ways to deal with political protests and effective ways to safeguard our children at school.

Training has been his priority. He has emphasized officer skills and safety, supervisory skills, and labor management relations in an effort to improve and promote the City of Seattle's remarkable Police force.

Reserve your space at the luncheon by calling the Seattle Sun offices at 440-9149 ext. 4 and leaving a message with the names of the attendees and your phone number. Cost is $15 if you reserve in advance by Tuesday, July 15. Cost is $20 at the door.

For information on parking, call the hotel at 634-2000.
