Mystery spoof at Civic Light Opera

It's 1935. Ten people are spending the night in a mansion in England during a thunderstorm. One by one, members of the group are murdered under mysterious circumstances, leaving the survivors in a desperate panic to find out whodunnit.

And sing songs to the audience, of course.

It's all part of Civic Light Opera's zany production of the musical comedy, "Something's Afoot," a spoof on the popular Agatha Christie mystery novels. The show, which was co-written by James McDonald, David Vohs and Robert Geriach, premieres Thursday, Nov. 14, and runs through Dec. 7. All performances will be held at Summit School (the former Jane Addams Middle School), located at 11051 34th Ave. NE.

CLO's managing director, Rick May, is the director of the show. The music director is David Maddux and the choreographer is Crystal Dawn Munkers.
