Teen Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt:

Ballard Halloween Carnival:

Friday, Oct. 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Ballard Community Center , 6020 28th Ave. NW. All ages. Info: 684-4093. Cost: 25 cents.

Halloween Festival:

Friday, Oct. 25, 4:30-8 p.m., Laurelhurst Community Center, 4554 NE 41st St. Carnival (4:30-8 p.m.) and haunted house (5-8 p.m.) at Laurelhurst Elementary School gymnasium. Hayride, 4:30 and 7 p.m., bonfire at 6 p.m. Ages: preschool through elementary school. Info: 684-7529. Cost: FREE.

Spook the Pool

Halloween charity gala:

Ravenna Halloween Carnival:

Friday, Oct. 25, 6-8:30 p.m., Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, 6535 Ravenna Ave. NE. More than 30 game booths especially designed for kids, Bingo for kids and adults, and refreshments and prizes and fun! Ages: 5 and under (6-7 p.m.); 6-12 (7-8:30 p.m.). Info: 684-7534. Woodland Park Zoo Pumpkin Prowl:

Friday-Sunday, Oct. 25, 26 and 27, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Zoo's South Gate Plaza and Family Farm at N. 50th Street and Fremont Avenue N. Pumpkin displays, treats for kids, fire performers, puppet theater. All animal exhibits will be closed with the exception of "Bug" World. Info: 615-0076. Trick or Treat in Greenwood-Phinney:

Little Goblins Carnival & Halloween Parade

Meadowbrook Community Center , 10517 35th Ave. NE. Carnival: Saturday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Scare-free fun with games, prizes and treats for everyone. Ages: 5 and under. Parade: 2:30 p.m., Bring pets (either the live or the stuffed variety) in costumes to the pet parade! There will be a ribbon for every pet.
