Detective seeks public's help:

Police Detective Vinette Tichi is seeking help from the North Seattle community.

Tichi, an officer in the Seattle Police Department's property recovery squad, recently came upon some jewelry that she believes may have been stolen from a North Seattle resident. The jewelry includes five rings for a large, man's hand, two tie tacks and a set of cufflinks.

Tichi said her theory is that the jewelry belongs to an older gentleman who may have put the items away somewhere and not even realize they're missing.

Anyone who thinks they can identify the rightful owner of these items should contact Tichi at 684-5405.
