Marina repairs green-lighted

The City's Department of Design, Construction and Land Use issued a master-use permit on Oct. 10 to allow the reconfiguration of the recreational marina at 2401 N. Northlake Way that had been damaged by a fire earlier this year. The project includes removal of 840 square feet of the marina's remaining roof, 4,286 square feet of the pier and 190 timber pilings. Rick's eyes more parking

Rick's Nightclub, an adult entertainment club located at 11332 Lake City Way NE, has applied for a rezone to allow for expansion of its current parking lot. The director of DCLU has determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse impact on the neighborhood. Bartell's coming to Northgate

DCLU's Design Review Board recently met hear preliminary plans for a new Bartell Drugs store that would be built at 507 NE Northgate Way (southeast corner of NE Northgate Way and 5th Avenue NE). The single-story building would include above-grade parking for 11 cars and parking for an additional 42 cars in a below-grade parking garage. University Mazda looks to expand

DCLU's Design Review Board also recently heard University Mazda's preliminary plans to expand the auto dealership by constructing an automobile showroom at the south end of its lot (northeast corner of Roosevelt Way NE and NE 45th Street). The dealership's current showroom is located at 4546 Roosevelt Way NE, immediately north of the proposed new building. DCLU's Design Review Board recently heard a developer's preliminary plans to build a six-story hotel at 4719 12th Ave. NE. The project would include accessory parking. Permit for manufacturing plant

DCLU issued a master-use permit on Oct. 14 to a developer that wants to build a light manufacturing plant at 10717 Midvale Ave. N. The single-story metal building will have 21,881 square feet of space. On-site surface parking for 13 vehicles will be provided. An existing building will be demolished to make way for the new plant. Rezone sought for project in South Wallingford

The developer of a proposed mixed-use complex at 3333 Wallingford Ave. N., is seeking a rezone to allow for the construction of a four-story building that would include 56 apartment units and 6,804 square feet of retail space. Auto repair shop for Wallingford
