Plant exchange at Meadowbrook

The public is invited to attend a plant exchange and garden fair on Saturday, Oct. 5, from from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the north parking lot at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th Ave. NE.

Bring plants, bulbs, and seeds to swap with your neighbors; learn to turn woody brush into mulch for your flowerbeds; learn to make dirt and how to build a worm bin; take a tour of the Meadowbrook Pond and wetland; and learn how to conserve and protect our environment. The event is sponsored by the Meadowbrook Community Center, Thornton Creek Alliance, Seattle Public Utilities, National Audubon Society, and Seattle Tilth.

For more information, call the center at 684-7522.
