Seattle Pacific dean's list

The following North Seattle residents made the dean's list at Seattle Pacific University for the fall quarter: Kimberly Bohrer of Phinney Ridge, Constance Carlson of Victory Heights, Michael Davis of Maple Leaf, Ingrid Erickson of Broadview, Renee Gibbs of Broadview, Michelle Gurr of Haller Lake, Sarah Harris of Haller Lake, Carla Hilderbrand of Phinney Ridge, Miranda Kizer of Haller Lake, Amber Kuzaro of Broadview, Tricia McKibben of Maple Leaf, Adaobi Moemenam of Cedar Park, Haley Moritz of Haller Lake, Rachel Ross of Broadview, Matthew Thorne of Ravenna, Elizabeth Tyson of Olympic Hills, Jon Wheeler of Wallingford and Cheri Wilke of Roosevelt.

To make the dean's list at SPU, students need to complete at least 12 credits and attain a 3.50 or higher grade point average.

Lakeside girls beat Rainier Beach

Lakeside High School's girls basketball team beat the Rainier Beach Vikings 54-42 on Feb. 22 to earn third place in the Sea-King District finals. The Lakeside Lions, now 16-10 on the season, will compete in the state 3A tournament, which began Feb. 27 in the Tacoma Dome.

Ballard boys advance to tourney

The Ballard High School boys basketball team beat the Issaquah High Indians 68-48 on Feb. 22 to finish third in the Sea-King District playoffs. The Ballard Beavers, who are now 20-4 on the season, advanced to the state tournament, which began on Feb. 27 in the Tacoma Dome.
