Agnes Jacobson, principal of St. John Catholic School in Greenwood, was recently named the National Catholic Educational Association's Distinguished Principal for Region XII, which covers five Northwest states. Jacobson, who is in her third year as principal at St. John, is one of 12 principals selected nationally to receive this award. Jacobson, who is currently in her third year as principal at St. John, will be recognized at a dinner honoring distinguished educations at the NCEA national convention at Atlantic City in April. She is also a finalist for the national award, which will be presented at the White House in October 2002.
St. John, located at 120 N. 79th St., is a private Catholic school that serves more than 430 students in grades preschool through 8th grade. b
