LAND USE REPORT: Northgate Village sold

Northgate Village Shopping Center, whose tenants include a Long's Drug Store, TJ Maxx, Seattle's Best Coffee and Shoe Pavilion, was recently sold for $13.65 million by the Estate of James Campbell to a group of three local investors called Lakha Investment Co. The 97,155-square-foot retail center, built in 1969, is located at Northgate Way and 8th Avenue NE. Paul Sleeth, a real estate broker with Colliers International, brokered the deal on behalf of both parties.

Hearing on Lower Woodland lighting:

The City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, Oct. 29, beginning at 5 p.m., to discuss the Director of the City's Department of Design, Construction and Land Use (DCLU) to approve a plan to install eight 75-85 foot tall light poles at Lower Woodland Park Ball Field No. 1. The light poles would support a total of 70 floodlights. The DCLU director's proposal includes waiving the City's current zoning regulation that limits the height of playfield light poles in that area to 30 feet. The hearing will be held at the Council Chamber, 11th floor of the Municipal Building, 600 Fourth Avenue. For more information, call Jill Berkey of Councilmember Judy Nicastro's office, at 684-8806.

Hotel proposed for Haller Lake:

DCLU is currently reviewing a developer's design review application to build a 3-story hotel at 13330 Stone Ave. N in the Haller Lake neighborhood. The proposed hotel would have 131 units and surface parking for 144 vehicles. The applicant is listed as Dan Sterns. Mixed-use project in Greenwood:

DCLU is currently reviewing a developer's design review application to build a 3-story mixed-use building at 121 NW 85th in the Greenwood neighborhood. The proposed building would have 13,000 square feet of commercial space and 65 residential units, with at-grade and below-grade parking for 90 vehicles. The applicant is listed as Rick Anderson. Townhouse project in Ravenna-Bryant:

DCLU recently granted a master-use permit to a developer that plans to build six townhouses at 5509 26th Ave. NE in the Ravenna-Bryant neighborhood. The developer's plans call for subdividing a single 8,001-square-foot property into six separate lots. The applicant is listed as Doug Armintrout. Physicians group leases space:

Real estate brokerage Colliers International recently announced that Seattle Primary Physicians PLLC has leased a 3,400-square-foot office space located at 1130 NE 85th St., from landlord Apollo Properties. (
