Gaspare's to feature special evening of music, Oct. 7

Gaspare's Ristorante Italiano, located at 8051 Lake City Way NE in the Maple Leaf district, will present "Dianne's Night," an evening of musical performances, on Sunday, Oct. 7, from 6-9 p.m. Dianne Trani, who (along with husband Gaspare) owns Gaspare's, will perform jazz vocal tunes along with keyboardist Andy Carr, bassist Steve Kim and drummer Don Berman. The evening will also feature a rare performance by The Fenderskirts, a popular local female vocal band (of which Dianne is a member) that disbanded in 1990, but continues to reunite for occasional performances at Gaspare's.
