On March 9 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Music Center of the Northwest will host a chamber music class with the internationally acclaimed group, Trio Fontenay.
Trio Fontenay has been lavishly praised by critics for its technical excellence, richness of tone, and depth of interpretive imagination. The Trio was formed in 1980 and is composed of pianist Wolf Harden, violinist Michael Mucke, and cellist Jens Peter Maintz. They were named after a street near the Hamburg Conservatory where they practiced.
Three adult trios will perform at the event. They will present the music of Arensky, Brahms, and Rebecca Clarke.
The event is a collaboration with the Ladies Musical Club.
The Music Center of the Northwest is a non-profit organization. It is located at 901 N. 96th Street in Greenwood.
Admission is free. To register, call Janice Gockel at 526-8443.
