When Happy Go Latte owner Haile Bedada lost his lease on the building that housed his business, he went looking for a new place to operate the 11-year-old restaurant/coffeehouse. However, Bedada didn't want to move out of the Maple Leaf neighborhood where the majority of his customers come from. Luckily, one of his regular customers also ran the Maple Leaf Pet Corner, and when the veterinary clinic moved to a larger location (at NE 83rd and Lake City Way), Happy Go Latte was able to move into the former vet space. Happy Go Latte's new home, at 7756 15th Ave. NE, is just around the corner from its old location along Lake City Way.
