For the past three months, Shannon Priebe has been serving as a news intern with the Jet City Maven, covering stories ranging from citizens' efforts to implement Residential Parking Zones in the Cowen Park and Licton Springs neighborhoods to the controversy over the School District's proposed playfields in Meadowbrook.

Priebe is a senior political science major at the University of Washington who hopes to put to practice her political knowledge as a political writer for a local newspaper.

Born in Everett, but she attended Eisenhower High School in Yakima, Shannon plans to remain on the west side of the mountains after she graduates in June. Eventually, Shannon would like to focus on her creative side and write novels and travel.

In the meanwhile, in her love for writing, she is looking to find a job as a reporter for a community paper. Previously, Shannon has written for the Daily at the UW and and the Record Journal in Ferndale, Wash.

Her interests include tennis, golf, skiing and literature.

Presently, Shannon is planning her wedding in July to Jerry Middleton.
