Jesse Ross

Jesse Ross, a Greenwood resident whose parents live in Shoreline, served as a news intern with the Jet City Maven during the fall quarter of 1999.

During his internship, he covered a number of stories, including the debates over the proposed Meadowbrook playfields and post office branch, the reopening of recently renovated and expanded Roosevelt Square, and the 30th anniversary of the Empty Space Theatre in Fremont.

Jesse, a recent graduate of the University of Washington with bachelor degrees in Political Science and Psychology, currently works as a host at Jazz Alley, while continuing to take classes in drama and in becoming a teacher of English as a Second Language.

He hopes to put the latter skills to good use this summer as a volunteer with the Peace Corps.

While becoming a professional journalist isn't in his plans at this time, writing remains a passion for Jesse, who spends his free time writing poetry and fiction.
