NSCC to open 2 new buildings

North Seattle Community College, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will add two new buildings to its campus.this school year: a Child Care Building and a High Technology Learning Center.

On Nov. 9, the Child Care Building will open its doors with a formal ceremony. The 7,500-square-foot residential-style building will offer supervision to children of NSCC students, and will be open to faculty as space allows.

On Jan. 5, NSCC will start the Millennium by opening its 41,000-square-foot High Technology Learning Center. The center will offer cutting-edge classes such as data acquisition and metrology (the study of manufacturing measurement). It will also contain fiber optics integrated labs as well as access to the education-only, high-speed Internet wide-band, Gigapop.
