On 37th Ave. NE and Hamlin Road, there is a house being built. I am a geologist whith a quarter-century of experience. It is being built at the bottom of a landslide slope.
Before it was built, the bottom story was filled with mud that had slid. They then roofed it over and continued building. Now they put a concrete wall on top of the mud.
The next time the mud slides, the concrete wall will slide with it.
Who is to blame? The land-use decision makers. But they are more interested in building more houses to generate more taxes.
