I enjoyed readying your July issue. The fact that major newspapers do not provide coverage of local news provides an opportunity for local papers - and you do a good job. I particularly appreciate your up to date coverage of the Northgate Mall situation.

I am writing to object to the City's (rumored) planning to put the Northgate Library in the park-and-ride lot north of Northgate Way. - without citizen input. The City is also proposing a bond issue for community centers, including one for Northgate.

It would, I think be a great idea to combine the proposed Northgate Library (which I worked for) and the proposed new community center. These should be located on the east side of 5th Avenue NE with a natural background of the creek and adjacent natural forest area.

This site could also provide for a learning center on urban development as the man-made enemy of the natural creek and its fish and wildlife.
