Briefcase Relay Race, June 18

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce challenges all Seattle Chambers, BIAs and businesses to race for the coveted Slug Cup in its annual Briefcase Relay Race, Friday, June 18. Cost is $150 per 5-10 member team. The course is 5 kilometers. Dress is business attire from the waist up, runner's choice below. Arrive at 5:30 p.m. Race starts at 6 p.m. at the Fremont side of the Fremont Bridge. For more information, call the Chamber at 632-1500.

Family Fun Friday at Meadowbrook

Fridays, 7 p.m. at Meadowbrook Community Center, 10517 35th NE. Enjoy board games, ping pong, foosball, gym sports, or just hang out. See movies on the big screen, play Nintendo 64 challenge, or rock n' roll your way around the gym on skates. Bring your clean rubber wheeled in-line or roller skates and groove to the tunes played by an on-site DJ. Bring your favorite CD or tape to share with the crowd. Ages: All. Cost: Free. Family Skate Night at Bitter Lake C.C.

Family Skate Nights will be held every Friday in June, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the Bitter Lake Community Center Annex, North 130th and Greenwood Avenue N., behind Broadview Elementary. It's a night of family fun: skating, games, prizes, music and exercise. Bring your own skates or rollerblades, or use ones available for rent at the center. Ages: All. Cost: $2. Community centers offer Friday Teen Nights

Friday Teen Nights will be held throughout the month of June, from 6-11:30 p.m. at the Green Lake Community Center recreation complex, 7201 E. Green Lake Drive N. Movies, munchies, game room, free swim, open gym. Something for every teen to enjoy. Come with friends or meet new ones. Ages: 13-18. Cost: Free. For more information, call 684-0780.

Meanwhile, in the Meadowbrook neighborhood, a program called Late Night at Meadowbrook Annex, 10517 35th Ave. NE, Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m. to 12:45 a.m. Bring your imagination, your smile, and your friends and enjoy the unique, every-changing blend of fun.
