Greenwood Classic Car & Rod Show, June 26

The Greenwood Classic Car & Rod Show is set for Saturday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the seventh year for this popular event which showcases over 600 classic cars and hotrods. An estimated 20,000 people turned out for last year's event. A similar-sized turnout is expected this year.

The Classic Car & Rod Show will be located along Greenwood Avenue N, from North 73rd to North 87th streets. The car registration entrance will be at North 73rd Street.

There will be booths selling food and various items and attendees can also choose from many wonderful Greenwood restaurants and shops. Music will be provided by Don & The Vinyltones.

Individuals can obtain a registration form on-line at www.psbd.com/carshow or at either the Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center, 8505 Greenwood Ave. N., or Cline Custom Jewelers, 8550 Greenwood Ave. N. Registration forms must be received by June 24, along with an $8 fee. The day-of-show fee is $10 but the completed registration form must still be received by June 24. The first 500 cars registered will receive a commemorative dash plaque.

Car Show T-shirts are available for pre-sale and on the day of the show. T-shirts can be ordered using the registration form on the Website.

Sponsors are the Greenwood-Phinney Chamber of Commerce and Fred Meyer.

The event will be organized, as always, by Jerry Cline, owner of Cline's Custom Jewelers and a classic car buff himself who came up with the idea for the event seven years ago.
