Jet City Maven advertising rep Kristy Smith has been through many trials and tribulations with her band, Billy Moon. After losing a recording contract last year, Smith has had to rebuild her band's public exposure once again. Kristy's husband, Steve Smith, was lucky enough to land the gig opening for the Crash Test Dummies at the Show Box on April 24 at the last minute when the scheduled opening band cancelled.

Locally known members of Billy Moon include Kristy Smith on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Steve Smith on drums, and Alan Paisley of Cedar Park Arts Center on bass.

Steve Smith owns and operates the Seattle Drum School in Lake City. Kristy has worked for the Maven since February.
