Congratulations are in store for Lake City residents Roy and Joanne Ovenell who became parents on Jan. 22 with the birth of their daughter, Tatia, at Northwest Hospital.

Tatia ("It's a Russian name, but we're not Russian," explains proud poppa Roy) measured 21-inches, and weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces at birth. She has been growing at a rapid pace since then, reports Roy, who notes that, as of late March, she is already up to 24 inches and 13 pounds.

"Tatia is our first," exclaims Roy, who notes that becoming parents has been "quite an experience ... a lot of fun!" for him and his wife.

Roy is a Farmers Insurance Group agent who owns Roy A. Ovenell Insurance Agency in Lake City. Joanne is a former medical assistant at a clinic affiliated with Northwest Hospital who, at this time, is devoting her full attention to being a mom.
