Olympic View Elementary School recently held its annual auction which, by all accounts, was a smashing success. The event netted $26,000, plus an additional $1,000 for the school's Teachers' Wish List Fund, reports Jocelyn Coit-Durland, a volunteer who produces the school's PTA newsletter. Sponsors of the event included: Food sponsor - Roosevelt Safeway store (Larry Kirkwood, manager); Food and beverage server - Always at Your Service (Kristi Schooley); Espresso Cart - Eric and Debbie Stone; Musicians - Philharmonic Swing Band (Ron Coble & Co.); Photographer - Security Imaging (Mike Helmuth). The co-chairs of the event were Jim and Kim Gahan and the volunteer coordinator was Becki Anderson.
