The North East Library is accepting poetry submissions throughout the month of March for a competition it is holding in honor of Celebrate National Poetry Month in April.
Entries must be single-page original poems of any form written within the last 60 days.
Awards will be given in three categories: Children (under 12), Young Adult (12-18), and Adult (over 18).
Winners will receive recognition and an opportunity to read their poems aloud during an awards ceremony that will be held on April 28, 7 p.m. at the library.
Contest rules may be picked up at the library, which also has last year's winning poems on display.
