Lake City residents Barry and Carol Ganje are currently involved in raising money to benefit cancer support programs.

They are volunteering their time as local representatives for the American Cancer Society's 8th annual Daffodil Days event. The Ganjes are currently accepting donations in the form of daffodil orders through March 3. For a $10 donation you will receive 10 freshly cut daffodils in a beautiful vase on March 24. A bouquet of 10 daffodils sans vase is $6. "If you do not want to receive daffodils yourself, you may anonymously donate them to a cancer patient at a pre-designated hospital, hospice or nursing home via 'The Gift of Hope' Program," says Carol.

Imogene Inglet, owner of Arts 'N Flowers (12304 Lake City Way), has donated a space where orders for daffodils can be picked up. All orders must be prepaid by March 5.
